Intranasal administration of DSIP has been studied with bioavailability estimated at 40-60% of subcutaneous injection, using 500-1000mcg doses to achieve equivalent effects to 200-300mcg injected. Nasal absorption bypasses first-pass metabolism and provides faster onset (15-20 minutes) compared to subcutaneous routes. Reconstitute with sterile saline and use nasal spray devices calibrated for accurate peptide delivery.
